How to Send Weekly Collab Invite Reminders in Shopify
A great way to boost activation rates is by sending a weekly Collab Invite Reminder Email, reminding those who have been invited but haven’t joined yet.
This guide provides a step-by-step process to update your marketing list with newly invited individuals and ensure your reminder reaches the right audience.
Before you begin, log in to your Shopify Admin panel.
Import the updated Collab Invite list into Shopify

In Shopify Admin, go to Customers.

Click Import (top-right corner).

Click Download a sample CSV.

Open the downloaded file and delete all example data.
- Go to Collabs → Recruiting → Invited Creators.
- Click Sort → Date Invited (Newest first) (this is usually the default).
- Hold CTRL on your keyboard, then drag down the Creator Email column to highlight all email addresses at once.
- Right-click and copy the selected email addresses.
- Open the ‘customers-template’ CSV file.
- Paste the copied email addresses into Column C: ‘Email’.
- Repeat the process until all newly invited email addresses since your last update have been copied. If you do this weekly (every Sunday), just copy the most recent invitees from the last 7 days.

In Column D: 'Accepts Email Marketing', type 'yes' and drag down to apply to all records.

Save the file.
No need to worry about duplicates—Shopify will automatically ignore them during the import.
Upload, but DO NOT overwrite customers in Shopify

Return to Shopify’s Customers screen.

Click Import and select your modified customers-template.csv file.

DO NOT Check 'Overwrite existing customers'. This is VERY important!

Click 'Add tags to customers' and enter the tag 'collabs'.

Click 'Import customers'.
Send the weekly reminder email

In Shopify Admin, go to Apps > Email.

Locate the Collab Opportunity Email sent last Sunday.

Click the three dots and select Duplicate email.

Edit the Subject Line (remove 'Copy of').

Review and edit the email content as needed.

Click Review (top-right).

Click Schedule send.
-
Select 'Now' or schedule for early Wednesday morning.

Click Send.
